Teknos Antistain Aqua 2901-00 can be applied by Airmix or Airless spraying systems either by hand or in automated spraying facilities. Antistain Aqua 2901-00 will typically be applied on hardwood, which for non-durable hardwood has been pretreated with a Wood Preservative.

Surface preparation

The wood must be free from wood dust and contamination. The moisture content of the wood should be approx.13% and should not exceed 15%. Pretreatment is required for wood substrates not meeting Durability Class 3, EN 350:2016. Teknos has a range of preservative products meeting the requirements of EN 599-1.

Application conditions

Stir thoroughly beforeuse.

Optimum temperature for products and surroundings:+18°C-+22°C.

Optimum relative air humidity: Approx.50%. Wet film range 125-200µm.

Drying time

+23°C/50% RH

- dry to handle 2-3hours

- fit for sanding and overcoating 3-4 hours*

* As the layer thickness is of paramount importance for the effectiveness of the product, it is important not to sand the surface too much. The drying time can be reduced using special drying systems to force drying. The dryingtimes are approximate and may varyaccording to wood quality, temperatures, humidity, ventilation, and film thickness.

Coating system

Primed parts must always be protected with a topcoat treatment before they are exposed to the influence of the weather.

Storage

Storage temperature is +5°C - +30°C. Shelf life in unopened containers: See “Best before date”on the label. Keep containers tightly closed after use.
