Acrylic Sealer by Parex is a water dispersed acrylic resin latex based hardener and dust proofer for application to concrete floors, screeds and mortars that are friable and dusting.
The product may also be used as a dust proofer for blockwork and rendered walls as well as sealing pourous surfaces.
Acrylic sealer is a single pack product supplied in plastic containers ready for immediate site use. The latex is applied to the floor section using a soft broom or squeegee.
For large areas the product may be applied by spray.
The low viscosity of Acrylic Sealer enables rapid absorbsion into the floor surface after application. In most applications two coats are sufficient to reinforce the surface.
For very porous screeds a third coat may be required. For very dense surfaces such as granolithics or power floated floors.
Acrylic sealer should be diluted one to one with clean water.
Floor areas must be clean and free from all contamination. Sweep or vacuum the area to obtain a dust and debris free surface.
The floor must be essentially dry. Walls should be brushed dry to remove dust and loose material.
The acrylic sealer is ready for immediate application straight from the container.
Spread the acrylic sealer with a soft brush or broom, a lambswool roller or squeegee.
Apply a thin even coat avoiding the formation of puddles.
Allow the first coat to be absorbed and dry then apply the second coat.
The dwell time will be 4 to 6 hours in dry well ventilated ambient conditions.
In damp weather the dwell time will be extended.
Allow the floor to completely dry before opening to use.
The drying period may be 24 hours in warm dry conditions and up to seven days in cold damp conditions
