Sigmatherm 230 is a two-component, high-build, heat-resistant epoxy phenol novolac coating.
Sigmatherm 230 provides a corrosion and heat-resistant barrier on carbon steel and stainless steel under thermal insulation and is suitable as a heat resistant system under insulation up to 230°C (450°F). Product is also suitable for use in cryogenic conditions and acts as excellent protection and resistance against corrosion and severe chemicals. Sigmatherm 230 also acts as excellent resistance to thermal shock during rapid wet and dry cycling. Sigmatherm 230 meets CS-1, 3 and 4 for carbon steels under thermal insulation according to NACE SP0198-10 as well as SS-1, 2 and 3 for stainless steels under thermal insulation according to NACE SP0198-10. No post-curing is required to obtain mechanical strength. Coating can be applied on hot substrate up to 150°C (302°F).
SigmaTherm 230 is a high performance, heat resistant product that provides protection to a variety of metal substrates. SigmaTherm 230 is ideally suited for application to pipes, radiators and low heat engines to aid the protection of the surface and surrounding area.
SigmaTherm 230 should be applied using a spray gun to improve the appearance of the surface but can be applied using brush or roller for touch ups too. After 2-3 hours you will be provided with a touch dry surface ready for a recoating after 8 hours. Once dry SigmaTherm 230 offers you a highly decorative and protective coating in either grey or pink and has great application properties, ideal for creating a smooth layer with mechanical strength.

SigmaTherm 230 is a high performance product that provides surfaces with a high glossy finish to aid protection and offer a level of decoration with an aluminium effect. SigmaTherm 230 should ideally be used internally to offer heat resistance to appliances of up to 230 degrees Celsius.
